Frequently asked questions
What does Parelivo do?
Parelivo helps retail teams see when a campaign could increase sales but reduce profitability by comparing alternatives using their own product data. It makes the conditions behind a decision visible rather than forecasting sales.
How are the free tools different from Guard?
The free tools provide a quick check of a single commercial question. Guard uses your XLSX product list and product-code-level cost and stock data to compare up to three alternatives under the same conditions.
How is Parelivo different from asking AI?
You can ask AI. It can build a campaign calculation, write formulas or interpret a spreadsheet you upload. But the result depends on your instructions, the formulas used and any assumptions left out. Parelivo uses a predefined calculation framework. The same inputs produce the same results; alternatives are compared under the same financial conditions, and the assumptions that change the decision remain visible. You do not need to write a prompt or rebuild the calculation model for every campaign.
We already have merchandisers and commercial teams. Why would we need Parelivo?
That is how it should be. Parelivo does not replace your merchandisers or commercial team. It helps make their commercial reasoning visible beyond one person’s head or spreadsheet. Your team still defines the promotion rules, product list and commercial assumptions. Parelivo compares those inputs consistently and brings break-even, stock constraints and downside risk into a shared decision view. If your team already compares every alternative under the same assumptions, runs three scenarios, checks break-even and stock limits, and records that reasoning clearly for others, your need for Guard may be limited.
Couldn’t we do this in Excel?
Yes. The problem Parelivo addresses is not Excel’s ability to calculate. It is rebuilding the campaign model in every file, relying on one person’s formulas, comparing alternatives under different assumptions, and discovering a missing critical input after the decision. Parelivo validates your product file, compares alternatives under consistent conditions, and shows both the financial result and the assumptions that change it. The difference is a repeatable decision process for every campaign.
How should I interpret Parelivo’s results?
The results show the contribution difference, break-even or operational threshold, campaign status and the critical assumption that changes the decision. Q summarises this output; it is not a sales forecast or a guarantee of higher profit. Comparing alternatives on the same financial basis helps you see when to keep a plan, revise it or prepare it for launch.
Does Parelivo forecast sales?
No. Parelivo does not predict how much sales will increase. It shows how much they would need to increase to maintain current profitability.
Is my product file uploaded to the server?
No. Your original XLSX file is not uploaded in full. Guard reads the file in your browser and sends the price, cost, stock and scenario fields needed for calculation to the server over HTTPS. These fields and calculation results are not stored permanently or sent to a third-party service.
Are my commercial data and results saved?
Calculation inputs and results are not stored permanently in the free tools, demo or current Guard workspace. When you calculate, the required commercial fields are sent to the server over an encrypted connection and processed only to fulfil the request. Account, session and access information may be stored separately to support secure sign-in; this is not commercial product data or campaign results.
Does Parelivo guarantee campaign results or higher profit?
No. Results are financial thresholds based on the prices, costs, stock, shipping, commissions and campaign assumptions you provide. Demand, conversion, competitor behaviour and execution quality must be assessed separately.
Why isn’t revenue or gross margin alone enough?
Revenue shows sales value, while gross margin reflects only part of the product economics. Without considering commissions, payment fees, shipping, campaign-specific costs and stock limits together, higher revenue can leave you with lower profitability. Parelivo compares these factors within the same financial framework.
What information do I need to prepare my product file?
The approved XLSX template includes essential product details such as product code, product name, base price, cost and stock. Promotion rules, channel and scenario assumptions are set separately. The quality of the result depends on how current your data is and how well it fits the promotion type.
Are ERP or marketplace integrations available?
No. Guard reads your product file in your browser using the approved XLSX template; it does not automatically retrieve data from ERP systems or marketplaces. The fields needed for calculation are sent to the server over an encrypted connection when you start the calculation.
Does Parelivo replace an ERP or business intelligence system?
No. Some advanced planning systems already provide this analysis. Parelivo is not designed to duplicate an existing decision-support layer. It is particularly useful for businesses that have the data but still compare campaigns through spreadsheets, manual checks and team discussions.
Who is Guard for?
Guard is for teams that know their product prices, costs and stock levels and want to compare campaign alternatives on the same financial basis before launch.
Who is Parelivo not for?
Parelivo is not for those looking for automatic sales forecasts, ERP or marketplace data feeds, a live business intelligence dashboard, or decisions made automatically on the team’s behalf. Teams unable to provide their basic price and cost data will not get meaningful results either.
Which promotion types are supported?
Guard Phase 1 supports percentage discounts, fixed-amount discounts, buy one get one free, buy X pay for Y, discounts on the 2nd item, tiered quantity discounts, minimum-spend discounts and gifts with purchase. Tiered quantity discounts and 2nd-item discounts require a short representative basket distribution; separate orders are not combined across the period.
Can it be used across product categories and sectors?
It can be used across product categories when meaningful price, cost, stock and campaign inputs are available. Result quality depends on the accuracy of those inputs and how well the promotion type fits the product category. Parelivo does not guarantee sector-specific outcomes or demand.
Can I use Guard with a small product list?
Yes. Even with a small product list, Guard can compare alternatives if the price, cost, stock and campaign inputs are accurate. A small list does not automatically validate stock or demand assumptions.
Do I need technical skills to use it?
No. You need to provide the approved XLSX template and your commercial inputs. Parelivo explains the calculation framework and assumptions, but responsibility for product prices, costs and campaign decisions remains with you.
How much does Guard cost?
Early-access pricing is USD 99 for one month or USD 990 for one year. Both offer the same features. Pay once, with no automatic renewal. Pricing does not guarantee results or increased profit.
Who is monthly Guard access designed for?
Monthly access may suit businesses that run campaigns regularly and want to compare alternatives using their own product data. Its value depends on campaign volume, costs and the existing decision process. There is no guaranteed financial return.
What does limited early access mean?
Limited early access lets invited users try Guard’s core product for seven days. This is a controlled access phase; decision history, team sharing and ERP integration are outside its scope.
What is included in limited early access?
Limited early access lets invited users try Guard’s product list, alternative comparison and financial decision workflow for seven days. Decision cards can be kept using the browser’s Print / Save as PDF function. Persistent decision history, team sharing, structured PDF export and ERP integration are not included at this stage.
